Programs

At Bowen Public School we operate 3 classes to support a range of individual learning. Additionally, we operate tiered invention programs.   These include one-to-one programs like Reading Recovery and small group instructional programs like MiniLit, MultiLit Spelling Mastery and the Sight Word Program.

In the early years of school, we implement 'L3 - Language, Learning and Literacy'. L3 'is a research-based intervention program for kindergarten students, targeting reading and writing. It complements the daily literacy program for Kindergarten students who do not bring a rich literacy background to their first year of school'.

Learning support team

Our school believes that all children can be successful learners and are entitled to access the curriculum at their level with appropriate accommodations and adjustments.  Our Learning Support Team operates dynamically across our school, using a range of resources to support student learning, teacher development and parent involvement. We are committed to the early identification of student needs and early intervention with a range of learning strategies and programs.
