Cultural Garden

Located at the northern end of the school outside F-block, the School created a native garden with the physical layout and structures that embody cultural meanings significant to local Aboriginal families, including mountains, trees and creeks, historical living conditions and the spirit of local ancestors.

This garden is to be much more than a collection of native plants. It is a physical opportunity for the school and Orange's Aboriginal parents to involve the students in learning about and experiencing abstract concepts such as respect (as a core value placed in the middle of the garden). In addition they will acquire knowledge of the edible and medicinal properties of local native plants.
